Topic : Don’t be God’s enemy. Text : John 12: 1-12 Key verse: 4-6.

“But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it.” NkJV.

In our text , one of Jesus disciple called Judas Iscariot was with the master and a custodian of eternal of life, in-fact he experienced the power of God , he was among the Seventy disciples that was sent to preach the good news of the kingdom and came with testimonies of great success and how the devil was subject to them and Jesus quickly turned their attention to the ultimate purpose of salvation; “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” ( Luke 10:20)NkJV.

Judas Iscariot became an enemy of God by choice, because of greed , he was labeled a thief because he stole from the church purse as the treasurer, he thought he was smart than others , though Jesus knew his acts of sin but still left him to see if the word and the character of Jesus could change him but he refused , greed have eaten into the fabric of his heart , that he became and enemy of the Lord even try to stop believers to give to God and the work of the kingdom but little did he know that his acts was what will kill him and separate him from his creator forever.

Beloved serve God will total commitment and walk in the consciousness of righteousness day to day, do not serve just because of earthly blessings that will end here, always remember that the fathers purpose of redemption of our souls is to have eternal life in the New heaven and the New earth, where Jesus will reign as our king forever where there shall be no more death or any form of sorrows and no unrighteous person shall enter .
Beloved make every effort through the help of the Holy Spirit to mortify the deeds of the flesh and all ungodly pursuit in this world for they will only make you an enemy of Christ, what will it profit you to gain the whole world and lose your soul. Rather seek the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness first and God will bless you with what you need to enjoy your life here on earth.

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. ( 1Timothy 6:6-10) NkJV.

1Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2Then I, [a]John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.
