“Hear O heavens, and give ear, O earth!
For the Lord has spoken:
“I have nourished and brought up children,
And they have rebelled against Me;
The ox knows its owner
And the donkey its master’crib;
But Israel does not know,
My people do not consider.”

The Lord is exposing the sin of His people to call them to come to Him with humble and lowly spirit owing up their sins by confessing them by asking for forgiveness and totally and completely turning to righteousness, that it shall be well the them.

In our text the people have deviated from the part of righteousness as a result, their way have now been covered with darkness- the miraculous power of God is no longer evident in their services and in the life of His children, the sickness of the Egyptians is ravaging the church, because of our rebellion the enemy of our soul have captured our youths made them the instruments of wickedness, the church and pastors are now object of shame and ridicule to our God .

The nations are facing economic sanctions from God because the people of God have failed . Unless the believers will rise up from their sinful practices and Idolatry ( paganism and Mormon) and seek the Lord Jesus Christ in truth and in Spirit they too will be covered with darkness and the people with gross darkness as the unbelievers .

We don’t want be like lots wife who loved the world and perished in destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, I pray, that will not be your potion in the name of Jesus Christ
God will always reserve a remnants in the time of apostasy, in the days of Noah God saved , Noah and his family because he found grace in the sight of God because He was righteous in his generation , lot was saved because he was a preacher of righteousness.
You too can repent and turn to God totally by applying the word of in God in all circumstances of your life .and become a beacon of light in darkness. What God expects from us is to indeed be the light and the salt of the earth , though wickedness increases in the world you,a child of God will be there to shine the love of Christ through your act of righteousness and holiness, honesty and kindness towards others, caring for the Widows, orphans and the forsaken in your community without expecting anything in return, when the people in your sphere of contact know you are around, their hope should rise with great expectations that solution has come just like Jesus when He walked the face of the earth, remember blind Bartimaeus when he heard that Jesus is passing by, his expectation for solution to his problem arose, then he shouted that the Lord will heal him and Jesus reached out to him and his sight was restored.

Remember you are the Jesus the world can see today. Beloved the only thing that can stop you from bringing glory to God in your life time is sin . So look in ward and know where you have sinned and repent of your sins and start producing the fruit of righteousness and start shining again from glory to glory.
