Topic : Be persuaded by His goodness. Text : John 12 : 34-41 Key verse : 37-40.
37But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, 38that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:
“Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:
40“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.” ( John 12: 37-40) NkJV
The goodness of God should lead us to repentance and cause our trust in Him to increase , but that is not the case in days of our Lords ministry on earth and even today.
In our key verse , it says though He has done so many signs before them yet they did not believe in Him.
What I have discovered by studying the scriptures and by experience as a minister of the gospel by the grace of God is that people come to God in time of their challenges to get solutions not actually because they love and believes in Him.
That is why many believers don’t really care about the process of their solution whether it is in alignment with the word of God or not all they want is solutions , as a result they fall prey to false prophets who deceives them and make merchandise of them as the scriptures says in 2 peter2-3 NLT. “
Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money……”
I know when one is in pain you have prayed and is as though nothing is happening and the challenges seems to increase and sometimes death is staring at your face, you are about to be homeless, and fear of losing a loved one.
If you are not patient and trust God and wait for His own kind of result , you might take a decision that can cause you eternal lost , shame and regret
In this last days learn to walk in faith, as a child of God depend on the miracles yolu received from God by faith through your prayer and that of genuine ministers and know that the God who came through for you in the past will do it again though He tarries , know He is never too late.
Beloved the more God displays His pawer and goodness in your life in providing for you , the sickness that killed others did kill you , His divine protection, the spiritual battles He overcame for you , the roof over your head , children He gave to you , the list is endless , that is enough to trust and believe in Him with the totality of your being .
Remember there is no other god like our Rock the king of kings and Lord of lords the creator of heaven and the earth and all that is in it . With Him all things are possible to the one who believes . Don’t sell your soul to the devil nothing in this world is what it.
