Topic : Be bold to confess Christ openly: Text : John 12 : 41-50 Key verse: 42-43.

“Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. “( NkJV)

If you are a believer, the Spirit of Christ in you has already filled you with the boldness to declare your faith openly . Why are many believers ashamed to declare their faith in their place of work, in their circle of friends and in their communities, the reason is not far fetched.

In our key verse , many believed in the Lord Jesus because they don’t want to be rejected by religious people and loose their influence in their place of worship probably because of some benefits and to enjoy the praise of men. But what they fail to understand is that every man will answer for themselves on the day of Judgment. Remember the name of a church you belong to will not deliver you on the day you stand face to face with the judge of the universe rather the word of God will be the standard.

Jesus asked a very profound question, what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and loses his soul . The irony of this life is, no matter what you acquire, though you are the richest man in the world, be the most beautiful woman , get the all the golden and diamond cars and mansions airplanes no man has ever bought , have all the degrees , be connected to the high and mighty in all the nations of the earth as beautiful as those things are , it will only benefit you temporarily and it does not have eternal value. If don’t have relationship with the Lord Jesus all of that will be exercise in futility

That is why our Lord warned us never be ashamed to confess Him ,if you do the result is to your own a

dvantage in Mathew 10:32 and Luke 9:26 Jesus said

“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven……For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.

Beloved if you have been hiding your identity in Christ because of man’s approval for earthly benefits, remember naked you came into this world you will take nothing from it . Friend proclaim Christ through your words and your character , let your light shine and save their lives from eternal death add sweetness to their life with the love of God in action , if they reject you , always remember our Heavenly Father will never leave you or forsake forever, He has loved you with an everlasting love .

God is never shot of human angels to help you in a way you never thought possible. So confess your faith openly and lay hold on eternal life.

27“For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. ( Acts 4: 18-31) NkJV.
